Baptismal Preparation

This program, especially important for the first Baptism in a family, discusses the significance of the Sacrament and its symbols: waters, oils, candle, and robe. Baptism is an initiation into the Death and Resurrection of Christ. As Christ died, entered the Tomb and rose to new life, so the person to be baptized, enters the waters of Baptism and rises to new life, a relationship with God. Literature and a video are used.

Baptisms are celebrated on Sunday, the day of the Resurrection.  Contact the Parish office as soon as possible once a date has been selected. Priests and deacons are the official Church ministers of this Sacrament. Anyone, however, may baptize in case of an emergency.
