ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA LITTLEST CHRISTMAS PARTY

The Annual Christmas Party for adults in the parish will be held on Friday,
January 8th, from 6:30PM - 12:00AM.

Cocktail hour begins at 6:30PM with beer and wine provided. Dinner, catered by Kane’s Market,
will be at 7:30PM. A DJ will play music from 8PM-12AM. Tickets are $35/per person and
will be sold after all Masses this weekend.

We invite you to join us by starting the new year with a fun evening of visiting and relaxing with
friends.

2ND ANNUAL ADVENT WREATH MAKING PARTY

SUNDAY, NOV. 22nd All parishioners are invited to the 2nd Annual Advent Wreath Making Party on
Sunday, November 22nd, at 1PM in Russell Hall. Supplies will be provided for you and your family to assemble an Advent Wreath for your home. Advent begins November 29th and Fr. WOMEN’S CLUB MEETING

TUESDAY, 11/17 @ 7PM in Russell Hall. “Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Easy, and
Economical Holidays!” Join us for a fun evening learning from five talented local women sharing
their crafts with us in a demo format - cookie decorating, centerpiece creations, flower arranging, chocolate treat making, and “green” gifts for teachers or hostesses. Refreshments and business meeting at 7PM, program begins at 7:30PM. You can cycle through as many of the presentations as you’d like, but they will all be well worth seeing! Come out to see and learn the talents these artisans have so graciously agreed to share with us!

Saturday, November 14th (rain date 11/21) This service is offered to seniors or other needy parishioners
of the parish. If you need help raking your lawn, please sign up in the atrium or vestibule to have your
lawn considered. Many volunteers are needed - men, women & children - willing to join us on a Saturday
morning helping others. Members of the Men’s & Women’s Clubs will be in the atrium to sign up requests and volunteers. Everyone that volunteers to rake is invited to Russell Hall for a very nice free lunch! All types of leaf blowers are needed.

SIXTH ANNUAL “FEED THE HUNGRY” SPAGHETTI & MEATBALL DINNER

Saturday, November 7th The “Feed the Hungry” Youth Group invites you to their Annual Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, November 7th, with two seating times to choose from - 6:00PM or 7:00PM. Dinner includes salad, spaghetti and meatballs, bread, soda, coffee, tea and homemade cookies. Cost: $10/per person, $5 for under age 10.

TICKETS WILL BE ON SALE after all Masses on October 24/25 and Oct. 31/Nov. 1 in the vestibule and atrium. Tickets will not be sold at the door. The “Feed the Hungry” Youth Group strives to fund itself. The proceeds and donations from this dinner provides monthly lunches for approximately 150 homeless individuals at the St. Elizabeth House. Most of our fundraising comes from extra donations, so if you can spare a little extra, every bit matters and is tax-deductible!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Please consider volunteering to help with this event. We need both youth volunteers (Grades 7-12) and adult volunteers. Donated supplies for the event are also needed. If you would like to volunteer, shop and/or donate items, please contact Maureen Jessen @ 651-9857 or sign up in the ATRIUM on Oct. 24/25 and Oct. 31/Nov. 1.

If you cannot attend and would like to make a donation, please send a check to “St. Catherine’s, Feed the Hungry”, and mail it to Maureen Jessen, 52 Old Stone Crossing, West Simsbury, CT, 06092. We hope this will be our only fundraiser, so extra donations are needed and very much appreciated!

BLESSING OF THE PUMPKINS

Blessing of the Pumpkins will take place on Sunday, November 1st, at the 11AM Mass with a party to following in Russell Hall from 12N-1PM.
