to see for yourselves the joy and fulfillment found in Music
Ministry! Please contact Susan Zybert, Music Director, at

The “FEED THE HUNGRY” Youth Group
begins its 8th year of service to St. Elizabeth House in
Hartford. This group is open to all 7-12 grade students.
Our mission is to educate our children about the poverty
at our doorsteps and to show them they can make a difference.
Each month, the volunteers travel to Hartford in a caravan
of cars filled with donated groceries, clothing items and toiletries.
The group prepares and serves lunch to approximately
150-200 people. This is an opportunity for our children to observe,
interact with and serve the needy. We encourage all students
and interested adult chaperones to contact Lisa/Peter
Sheary @ 658-2899 or Shearyreal@aol.com to register.
UPCOMING VISIT DATES: Sept. 19th, Oct. 17th,
Nov. 21st and Dec. 19th. We meet at St. Catherine’s @ 9:30AM
and return by 1:45PM. Volunteers must register in advance.
The “Feed the Hungry” Youth Group volunteers also hand deliver
any donated items to the shelter during their monthly visits.
The Shelter is in constant (dire) need of new/gently used
clothing items, linens and toiletries. All donations must be
brought to church the morning of our Saturday visit by 9:30AM
OR contact a director from the list below for pick-up or drop-off
during the week. Your donations are greatly appreciated!

First of all, I’d like to thank the members of our music ensembles for their dedication and hard work that added so much beauty to our Triduum and Easter celebrations. We are lucky to have such talented musicians in our church community who give freely of their time and talent. Secondly, I would like to thank Father Michael for his trust and active support of our Music Ministry. Finally, I’d like to thank everyone who attended our celebrations; you astounded me with your powerful congregational singing and made me realize how lucky I am to be the Music Director in a parish that enjoys fully participating in the liturgy. Let’s keep up the great singing as we continue to celebrate the Easter season!
Now, for all of you in the congregation who wished you could be singing with us in the choir, this is your chance: the adult choir and contemporary group are both singing until summer and we would be happy to have new members. For all those who couldn’t make the 11AM Mass because of Religious Education, now is your perfect opportunity to join the adult choir. Our rehearsals are on Thursdays from 7:30 - 8:45PM.
Children’s Choir: you finished your year beautifully with Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, and Easter Sunday. I look forward to seeing you in the fall and hope to see new faces too. Please keep Thursday evening from 6:30-7:30PM open for next year for our new rehearsal day and time.
