SUMMER SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
FEED THE HUNGRY - The Feed the Hungry youth group will visit the Hartford shelter on Satur-day, August 21st. The group will leave the St. Catherine’s parking lot around 9:30AM and return at approximately 1:30PM. If you would like to reserve a spot, please contact Mr. or Mrs. Sheary @ 860/658-2899 or email Shearyreal@aol.com. Remem-ber, people still go hungry in the summer time!
ANGEL FOOD MINISTRY - we could use your help on our distribution day, Saturday, August 28th. Volunteers are needed to set up and carry food boxes to cars at St. Catherine’s. Volunteer hours are 8:45AM—11:00AM. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Mrs. D’Agosto at afm.lpd2010@gmail.comPICNIC IN THE PARK - is a fun event sponsored by the Simsbury Aging and Disability Commission for Simsbury residents with disabilities. Volunteers are needed on Saturday, August 28th rain or shine. This event takes place at St. Catherine of Siena (Russell Hall). There will be music from 11:30-2:30 and lunch from 12:15-1:15.
